About us
We are a small alpaca farm in Lamar, MS with a big heart for animals. We first fell in love with alpacas while vacationing in Little Rock, AR during a visit to Heifer Village. We were actually expecting to see cows there but were surprised to see alpacas instead! It was love at first site. We sold our home in Olive Branch, MS, bought some land in Benton County, and Arella Farm was born. We started our alpaca farm with one potbellied pig, who moved with us from Olive Branch and four Huacaya alpacas. Over the past few couple of years, we've added to the foundation herd to include more Huacayas as well as Suri alpacas. The pig pen has grown as well. We are now home to three pot-bellied pigs and two kune-kune pigs!
We opened our doors to the public in order to share our love of these wonderful animals and provide and educational experience for our guests.
We have been blessed to have the best volunteers in the world join up with us. We could not do anything we do without them! If you call the farm, you will most like speak with Sandie or Rachel (pictured above)
